History of the window restoration project
Window in Ukraine

We are a group of volunteers created in Kyiv in the first days of the war to implement a project to evacuate residents of Kyiv and its suburbs (Obukhov and Ukrainka) during active hostilities in Kyiv and the region.

In June 2022 a project to restore the housing stock was launched in the cities of Bucha and Irpen.

 

The Window in Ukraine project is aimed at helping a specific house, specific people who, as a result of the war, lost the opportunity to live at home in warmth and without moisture.

We examined several buildings and are currently working on restoring the windows at Vokzalna 101. There are more than 30 damaged apartments in this building. After the survey, we separated those in need of immediate help, those apartments where residents continue to live, but without windows, using film. We aim to find funds and gradually restore the windows according to the debugged algorithm.
